- Those 3 exceptions aside, Canadians are moving to the USA, 2-3 times more often than Americans coming north
- Macleans magazine reported that between 1919 & 1926, 11% of University of Toronto graduates, 15% of Western Ontario’s graduates and 36% of Acadia’s graduates moved to the United States.
- In1927, Macleans interviewed 203 expatriates. 57% moved to the USA for economic advantages, 20% for better opportunities, 9% for health & climate, 5% for personal/family reasons and 5% for objections to political, social and intellectual conditions in Canada. 2% for misc reasons, 2% lure of the unknown.
